Welcome to the Tourism Cares Meaningful Travel Map - a tool that directly connects the travel trade and sustainably-minded visitors with authentic, community-led enterprises, products, services, accommodations and tours. By participating in the Meaningful Travel Map, destinations can:
Amplify their destination’s sustainability journey to the travel trade and local partners
Expand the economic impact of tourism to diverse and smaller communities
Create opportunities for local impact organizations to become a part of the tourism supply chain
Increase their market share of the growing global demand for sustainable travel experiences
Embed their map on DMO website to connect vetted impact partners to leisure travelers and groups

The impact on your tourism community
Being a part of the Meaningful Travel Map can create ripple effects for your community, serving as a destination development tool that can help scale social enterprises and other community-led organizations to benefit from tourism dollars.
Destinations and their impact partners will be exposed to buyers, advisors and other industry professionals, including major travel brands and associations, such as Intrepid, Tauck, ASTA, Delta Air Lines, AAA Travel, ATTA, USTOA, NTA and more.
All approved map impact partners will be onboarded by Tourism Cares and provided quarterly updates, access to educational resources, consultation opportunity, and tourism ready training.
Join Tourism Cares and build your Meaningful Travel Map
Destinations who join Tourism Cares as members are eligible to participate in the Meaningful Travel Map as part of their benefit package. Destinations can choose to add a Meaningful Map package to their membership base (starting at $1,500), including special FAMs and hosted events, to elevate their map exposure, as well as increase their overall giving and membership level recognition throughout the year.

Mt Rainier National Park | Tourism Cares for our National Parks 2016
Volunteers from all over the United States met in Mt Rainier National Park during the centennial year to contribute to a number of conservation projects including invasive removal, tree planting and trail building. Our National Parks, largely understaffed, depend on volunteer to support to maintain the natural beauty and keep up with constant preservation efforts.
