Help preserve some of earth's greatest treasures for future generations.

Imagine if the wonderful sites that you visit when you travel began to disappear; if the very reasons why you travel – to see, to do, to experience different cultures and places, were diminished or completely gone. Tourism Cares believes that it is up to everyone to take steps to ensure that these reasons why we travel will be there for future generations. That is why Tourism Cares has created a worldwide initiative called Save Our Sites. 

Save Our Sites invites the travel industry and the travelling public the opportunity to help award a grant to a site in need. At various times throughout the year, groups of potential grantees are highlighted in SOS voting rounds. The public is invited to vote, once per day for two months, for a site they feel is deserving of funding to help with much needed renovation and rehabilitation projects.

Funding for SOS grants comes from donations made from travellers while on tour, staying in hotels or visiting attractions. Donations, as little as the change in their pockets, can make a huge difference for non-profits across the country.
