SPOTLIGHT: THE PEOPLE + PLACES OF TOURISM CARES

World Central Kitchen (WCK) | Disaster Recovery Grantee

WCK was provided with a Destination Disaster Recovery Grant from Tourism Cares to support Puerto Rico’s Plow to Plate program. This program supports the revitalization of farming through grants, capacity-building, and training to re-establish their long-term capacity for food production, distribution, and sales island-wide. The Grant was used to build a community kitchen at the Centro de Microempresas de Tecnologia Sustentables (CMTAS), hosting community cooking and training classes for local entrepreneurs.
