How B Corps Are Transforming Travel into a Force for Good

March is B Corp Month, a time to celebrate businesses that balance profit with purpose, using their power to benefit people and the planet. At Tourism Cares, we are proud to have numerous B Corp organizations within our member community and host several B Corp Impact Partners on our Meaningful Travel Map, all of which help shape a more sustainable and inclusive travel industry.

What is the Definition of a B Corp?

B Corporations (or B Corps) meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. All B Corps must undergo a rigorous certification process, beginning with the B Impact Assessment. This detailed evaluation measures a company’s impact on its workers, community, environment, and customers, helping businesses identify areas for improvement while ensuring accountability and transparency. Companies must then take steps to enhance their impact and meet the B Corp’s high standards, ensuring that certified businesses truly embody a commitment to using business as a force for good.
